Working in English
I work in English with members of Warsaw's international community — expatriates, third-culture individuals, and bilingual or bicultural Poles.
For many people, working in a second language is not simply a matter of convenience. Emotions and memories — especially the hardest ones — are often stored in the language in which they were lived. Working in English, or moving between two languages, can therefore become part of what we explore together, rather than a technical matter of translation.
I work with adults living in Poland who are looking for psychoanalytic support. I understand something of the texture of life away from one's country of origin: impermanence, loneliness, the pull between cultures, the sense of being "in between".
Sessions are held in my consulting room at Belgradzka 12, near Natolin metro station in Warsaw, or — where appropriate — online.
If you are more comfortable speaking English, you are welcome to write to me in English. You may also read the description of the work and the notes on the first consultation and the frame.
