How to start
We begin with a conversation. Please get in touch by email or phone — that is how a consultation is arranged.
The consultation
The consultation is a single meeting of about 50 minutes, for which a fee is charged, as for a session. We talk about what you are facing and what you need; I explain how psychoanalytic work proceeds; and together we consider whether, and in what form, further therapy would make sense for you.
The consultation does not commit you to starting therapy. Its purpose is to look at the difficulty you bring and to make an informed decision — including, if appropriate, a referral to another person or another form of help.
The frame and frequency
I practise within a stable, regular frame: the same days and times, sessions of 50 minutes. I work from one to several times a week; more than once a week is recommended, and we settle the exact frequency together. This regularity is deliberate — it is not a formality, but the condition in which the process can be trusted and in which it becomes possible to look calmly at what unfolds in the relationship and in thinking.
- Sessions take place at fixed, agreed times.
- I work from one to several times a week — more than once a week is recommended.
- We settle the number of sessions together.
- Sessions are held in the consulting room, or online where appropriate.
Fees
Fees are set individually; the estimated fee for a session is 220 PLN. Payment is made after each session, by transfer or in cash.
Confidentiality
Everything you say in the consulting room is confidential. I bring my work to supervision, as is standard in psychoanalysis — supervision serves the quality of the therapy and does not involve disclosing patients' personal data.
